Citrus fruits and birds is a contemporary portrait built under a heavy symmetrical geometry broken for a few elements.
In most of my illustrations axial symmetry prevails, I find interesting how these elements outside of this symmetry take more importance in the illustration. So I play with this to give importance to certain elements that I think are key in the artwork.
That’s what happen with the birds and the hair on this piece. This artwork talks about a few sensations, the air gently moving the hair and the sweet song of a bird in spring.
